GridX Africa's Lusaka project delivers a solar-plus-battery power system for a British American Tobacco (BAT) facility in Zambia — 1,100 kWp of solar PV paired with a 916 kWh battery, covering 61% of the facility's energy needs and integrated directly into the grid connection to cut utility costs. The system is financed with no upfront cost to BAT, backed by an 8–20 year Power Purchase Agreement that includes O&M, 24/7 monitoring, a performance guarantee, and emergency fault response. It's projected to cut carbon emissions by roughly 828 tons annually.
